De Soto Public Works

The De Soto Public Works Department provides many services throughout the city. They maintain and operate the water treatment plant and the wastewater treatment facilities. They maintain the city cemetery, public owned property such as city hall, the fire station, and public works buildings, etc.  The De Soto Public Works Department is also in charge of maintaining city streets, parks, and recreations areas including Little Bridge Park and The De Soto Baseball Field.
The De Soto Public Works Department recently completed a summer project of creating and maintaining a -open to all- concession stand at The De Soto Baseball Field. The concession stand is staffed during baseball games by city employee volunteers. Proceeds from products sold go to the restock of the concession stand and a small percent goes to the respective employees department.
