The mission of the De Soto Public Library is to support lifelong learning and early literacy by anticipating and responding to the needs of the community. The primary role of the De Soto Public Library is to make readily available the most sought after materials in order to satisfy the educational and recreational needs of our community.
The second role of the library is to have convenient access to electronic information resources through proven technology and telecommunications. Patrons will be assisted as needed by a knowledgeable, trained staff that can help them make the best use of both traditional and electronic information. Staff will be supported by up-to-date technology to ensure quality services that are efficient and cost-effective.
The De Soto Public Library is located inside the city hall building at 405 Walnut Street. The library director is Brianna Glenn.
