The City of De Soto is located right off exit 110 at the intersection of Interstate 80 & Highway 169. Just 10+ minutes from the capital city’s suburbs, our town’s residents have an easy commute to work & entertainment in the Des Moines Metropolitan area.
Established in 1868, De Soto has always taken great pride in our small town values. We identify as a family oriented & economically strong community, with a business friendly atmosphere that offers great opportunities for everyone. De Soto strives to possess a strong character built upon a solid foundation by our Community Leaders, Library, Police, Fire, & Public Works Departments.
