De Soto Public Library: 405 Walnut St

Soup and Cards is a social event that usually occurs the first Wednesday of every month. Local residents gather at the library to enjoy some homemade soup and to play cards or board games together. This is a great event to get to know your neighbors, and is especially popular among retired residents.

The volunteer firefighters gather to touch base on their past month’s calls, as well as discuss future agendas and plans for the department. Anyone is welcome to join in on these meetings. They especially welcome any resident who is interested in learning more about their department and has considerations of joining.
